At Children’s Land, we believe that education continues after schools release the kids for the summer. There is no better way to help children avoid “summer loss,” than to enroll them in our summer program.
Children will continue to learn at their age/grade level, preparing them for the following year, and for many, kindergarten! In addition to continued thematic units, our summer camp experience goes beyond the classroom, providing your child with additional outdoor activity, in addition to weekly field trips.
Children’s Land prides itself in providing its children with weekly Music, Dance, and Art classes, in accordance with our thematic units. In addition to all of the above, many of our centers have weekly Yoga and we are working to add Spanish programming to our centers!
Oriented around our thematic units and reinforcing basic skills such as alphabet and counting, our Music Program uses songs to help children develop skills crucial for school, such as listening, creating, and memory. Our Music Program works in conjunction with the Dance Program in preparation for our yearly recitals.
Children’s Land’s Dance Program introduces children to various types of dances that are often oriented around our thematic units. Allowing children to move with the beat, clap, and dance, helps strengthen muscles and improve coordination. Our Dance Program works in conjunction with the Music Program in preparation for our yearly recitals.
Children’s Land’s Art Program focuses on visualization, building, drawing and design. Art improves fine motor skills and prepares children for writing and manipulating small objects like buttons and zippers. Art amplifies creativity and imagination, helping children envision their internal beauty and the world around them.
Our yoga classes are designed to involve every child. Kids learn to stretch while doing basic yoga poses in a safe and happy environment. In addition to its physical benefits, our Yoga Program will also help children develop their memory and self-esteem, while helping them hone skills necessary for positive classroom behavior.
